    Full film record documents the Ju/'hoansi, Kalahari Desert. Film footage includes village life; agricultural activities; Minister of Nature Conservation, Andreas Shipanga, visiting Tsumkwe; life and interviews on Herero farms (outside Nyae Nyae); and life of Bushmen outside Kalahari Gemsbok Park, South Africa. Footage shot by Cliff Bestall.
    The John Marshall Ju/’hoan Bushman Film and Video Collection was received over several years of accessioning from different parties. In 1983, John Marshall deposited the 1950-1978 film and audio with some production records. In 2005, Documentary Educational Resources deposited the 1981-2000 film, video, and audio and paper records, photographs, and master video copy of "A Kalahari Family" in 2008. Maps used by the Marshall family on the early expeditions were deposited in 2008.
