    Bio / His Notes: 
    Robert Serotkin (1911- 1986 ) was a Staff Sergeant with the 1st Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron, detached, during World War II. Serotkin was an aerial photographer but also painted nose art on various aircraft when the weather was too bad to fly. Serotkin trained in Mississippi and Colorado before he was detached to the Gold Coast (Accra), Morocco, and Egypt. He then returned to the United States for more training in Salina, KS, before his last detachment in Okinawa.
    Summary: 
    This donation consists of thirty-two images relating to Robert Serotkin and his aircraft nose art drawn during World War II. The following aircraft and nose art are represented: Slave Girl, Boeing B-29; 'Luvablass, Consolidated B-24; Over Loaded, Consolidated B-24; Lucky Strike, Consolidated B-24; Golden Hind, Boeing B-17E; Over Exposed, Boeing F-13A; "Margie's Mad Greek" III, Boeing F-13A; Margie's Mad Greek II, Boeing F-9; Rose, Boeing F-9; Never been tried (a.k.a. B.S.M. Dragon), Boeing B-29; Lady in Waiting, Boeing B-29; and Cherie, Douglas C-47. This collection also contains images of Robert Serotkin, his wife, fellow servicemen and several shots of a Martin P5M Marlin wrecked on a beach.
